Kayla Palmore is a strong, motivated, young woman, born and raised on the West Side of Chicago in the Austin neighborhood, who has a passion for creativity and storytelling. Kayla graduated from Roosevelt University in 2018, where she was a student athlete for four years (Roosevelt University Women’s Volleyball) while studying Journalism.
Upon receiving her bachelor’s degree in 2018, Kayla began working for 360 Sports Academy, where she began her career in Social Media Management. Kayla began creating compelling content to help grow 360 Sports Academy’s Social Media Presence, as well as growing her talents in filming, sports photography, event coverage, lifestyle photography and production.
In 2019, Kayla founded Shot By K, A Media Company, where she strives to capture moments and create memories through photography and cinematography. Shot By K also provides eccentric and compelling branding and social media content for her clients; 360 Sports Academy, SWABY Boutique Chicago (Project Runway), Tayonon Holistics and YASOU SKINCARE, to name a few.
In January 2021, Kayla began working for The Austin African American Business Networking Association (AAABNA) snd helping AAABNA establish their brand on social media and allow others to see the great work AAABNA is doing for Austin. Since her start date, Kayla has managed and planned major Campaigns and Events powered by AAABNA; Black History Month, Women’s History Month, The Soul City Blues Fest and the Pop Courts Grand Opening featuring Mayor Lori Lightfoot. Kayla has also interviewed fellow Austin native and Deputy Commissioner of BACP Kenya Merritt, Sybil Madison, Chief of Staff of the City of Chicago and Congressman Danny K. Davis.

Currently, Kayla is a Marketing Coordinator for the Better Business Bureau in Chicago.
